[sdiy] A productive Synth-DIY weekend

I had a pretty darn good DIY weekend for a change...

    Painted and lettered another panel.

Plus, I got a lot of work done on the Fatar keyboard I am messing
with. I am fixing it up to replace the keyboard in my old Paia 8700
keyboard (never did like the one that it came with). I cut it down to 3
octaves, from 5. The most difficult part was trying to decipher how to
get the key tops off. Turns out it is very simple, but I broke two
before I figured it out. Next step is to figure out how to cut the
board with the switches on it. That might prove interesting.

I also need to figure out if I can get a mating connector to the one
on the board. It is a strange connector. The pins are 0.1" spaced, two
rows, but, they are stagered by 0.05". I can always kluge something,
but it would be nice to find the real connector. Mouser or Digikey
don't seem to list anything that looks like a match. Bet one of our
European members know who makes this.
