Harry mentioned something to me about the Tin and lead mixture not being
terribly soluable in humans, so as not to be a big lead risk. I think it's
the flux that does more damage... I'm not sure.
There is lead free solder which in your situation would be a good choice,
because then he can;t say jack. The radioshack lead free I have is a little
harder to use than leaded solder, but it beats nothing.
If you are clam baking in solder fumes so much that it seeps into the other
apartments, the fan with a duct out the window is sage advice.
I want to get me one of those soon.
Lead free solder will get you moving the fastest I think...

P.S. Isn;t it really fucking illegal to have lead paint in a building?
