best would be pots that have not only center detent, but center tap
i.e. four leads. Then you ground the center tap and you have clean zero.

You could also solder trimmer pot to 'main' pot leads. The trimmer value
should be at least 10 times larger than the pot. e.g. 1M trimmer for 100k
pot.

I usually solder one resistor to wiper and one of the ends. First I have to
experiment a little to determine it's value, but it's clean and cheap.

Subject: [sdiy] Trimming an Oakley MultiMix

I'm looking at using Tony Allgood's MultiMix design from
http://www.oakleysound.com/multimix.htm
<http://www.oakleysound.com/multimix.htm> in a mixer I'm working on.
However, for the reversible attenuator part, I want to use center-detent
pots for a nice clean zero. What would be the best way to trimpot this
circuit so that I can make sure my zeros are zero? (yep I'm still a beginner
:-) Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks all

KRIS
