I have this 1U box that I got for designing the logo for a company a friend
of mine started, called Electrovoce. She got the entire inventory from a
place we worked for called Digital Harmony Technologies. This box was the
hardware that went with the book "Digital Projects for Musicians" and is a
simple computer that can be re-configured to to a bunch of different MIDI
task. The box I have has been configured to convert 64 different switch
closures into MIDI notes or commands. You can make almost any kind of MIDI
"keyboard" out of it. Pretty cool. I haven't gotten around to using it yet.
I have seen the schematics for the EMS KS keyboard around on the net
somewhere. I used to have one and they are kind of wild. I'm sure the Buchla
one is out there some where. It is a much better design and is quite a bit
more flexible. Good luck!
