Use tallow. And if the tap is in a power drill, the drill must
remain perfectly vertical the whole time. Tapping with a hand
held power drill is indeed a good way to break taps. So either
use a hand tool or put the drill in a "stand" (see the kind of
contraption I mean ?) and use a drill that can turn *slowly*.
