No, the PPG chips are soldered in, there is not enough space for sockets
(repairing them is NOT fun)..

These have capacitors and run between the 5v and 0v rail, and supply power
to the row of chips!

Ive seen the, they're expensive...
Its easier to start with a GOOD PCB layout, and cheaper..
