Hi Tony,
You can get reverse log.
It works the same as with creating log from lin, but you put the resistor on
the other side.
One _important_ thing though, the load resistance has to be very high.
Otherwise the load resistance undoes the effect of the "reverse log"
resistor, the result will be a kind of S curve.
Incase of a resonance pot this means you often need opamp buffer to get it
work.

Its kind of important to consider the load when using a pot as a voltage
divider,
other wise you may unintentionally have a log response when you planned for
lin.
E.g. a 100k lin pot with a 10k load will give a log response, while a 1k lin
pot with a 10k load will give a lin response.

I realize its a kind of rough description, but I hope you understand what I
try to say anyway.
