exp circuit: all pass?

Hi people
According to some simulation I've made , it seems that the filter network into the expression circuit is made of 2 perhaps 2 pole all pass filters which are also responsible for changing the wave shape: was it maybe for phase correction ?
Anybody can confirm my guess??
