Hi folks, please can anyone tell me - just how useful would a CS50 be for a source of spares for my CS80? What I mean is, exactly how much of it is compatible with my '80...? Cheerz. TROM

Well let's see here. There's the KAS and SH (but they are only half populated in the 50) KBC (only one), the voice cards IC's and passives (you can not fit a 50 or a 60 voice card straight in an 80 with out changing some resistors on it. The remaining boards are OK for parts only. Sliders, caps and case hardware are OK to use too. After that that there is not much you can use. Kent

Thanks for your reply Kent, So some actual boards are identical, but only have half the components ? Is this because the 50 isn't 8 note poly? Also please could you tell me which resistors would need changing for use in the 80? I bought a 60 voice card recently as a spare for my 80 but didn't know that it would need modification should I need to use it. Cheers.
