Yamaha CS-60 tracking problem

Yamaha CS-60 tracking problem

2006-02-02 by carlos cestero

Hi Everyone,

I just got my CS-60, all the voices work (I can play 8 notes and sound will come out) all of the switches and sliders work perfectly. However when I play 5 notes the next note plays in the correct key but at a higher pitch than it should. Sometimes it happens when I just play the first note, other when I played 5, 6, 7th note.....The voices seem to be intonated, just that crazy tracking thing. Anyone have any ideas.....I am taking it to a tech as I know nothing about repairing it but just wanted to know if anyone have any thoughts about what could be the problem.

  Thanks in advance

It sounds like one of your voice cards probably just needs to be tuned.
Once you isolate which voice it is it shouldn't be too hard to fix. See
Crows web sight- basically the same tuning procedure as the CS-80
