spot the CS80 in my new track

Fantastic!
What makes it outstanding is its soothing athmosphere , suddendly broken by the entrance of the brass; by the way , it seems you used also a pwm based path, isn't it?
Anyway, congratulations!

Hi guys,

its been a while since i post something here.

I made a new track it is sort of a lullaby so expect NO heavy stuff only a moody melodic track with a cs80 climax.

I hope you enjoy it

Quite nicely done, I enjoyed it very much! And I'm enjoying it again

Can you fill us in on what other instruments you used?

CS80 parts

2011-10-13 by blchrr@homecall.co.uk

Hi guys,

For a number of years ive been hanging onto some cs80 parts, basically i
want to be able to keep mine running and always have parts in the event of
it needing a fix.

So at the moment i have:

4 voice cards
2 trg boards (each with 24 IG vca's)
1 tck board
2 kbc boards
1 sub board
1 sh board
1 pra board

However there is something id really like to buy and i im considering
selling some of these boards to help fund that.

My question to the Cs80 experts, what in your opinion should i keep- i want
to keep enough to make sure my unit is ok for the future, but not keep to
much just for the sake of having it if you understand what i mean.

I was thinking of selling 2 voice card, 1 kbc board and 1 trg board and
keeping the rest.
I am mindfull of the fact that cs80 parts are hard to source and the days of
cheap cs50's and cs60's for part donors is long gone.. those things go for
big money these days.

I guess if anyone is specifically looking for any parts perhaps PM- please
be aware though that they wont be going cheap!

Cheers,
Rob.

Re: CS80 parts

2011-10-14 by blchrr@homecall.co.uk

Hi Fredrik, :)

I am asking £300 for them and i have 2 for sale in total.
Plus i also have 1 TRG board available, which has 24 IG00151 VCA chips on it
(CS80 has over 100 VCA inside!) which is also £300.
My prices arent cheap, but these parts are very hard to find and i dont
really want to sell them, so i have to make it worthwhile.
It looks like i sold the KBC board already.

Regards,
Rob.

Hi Tim,
thanks for listening. I used Omnisphere and kontakt for the other instruments. I layered 5 (or 6) sounds with the Rhodes for more organic feel.

Re: CS80 parts

2011-10-14 by blchrr@homecall.co.uk

Hi guys,

Following on from my post last night about the cs80 parts, i have decided to
see some of them.
Ive lowered the prices too, i feel the prices are fair considering the
rarity of the parts, i think perhaps my original prices were a bit too much,
but as i said before i dont really want to sell the parts, so it has to be
worthwhile for me to do it.
So anyway, i have 2 voice cards for sale, they are £250 each, also a TRG
board for £250 (which has 24x IG00151 vca chips on it - the CS80 has over
100 of these custom vca's in it!) and also the KBC board for £150.
These prices are firm. Shipping to EU about £15 i would guess, USA a bit
more.

Please send me a message off the list if interested.
Thanks.

Regards,
Rob.
