Is Anyone Hoping for a New Version of the CS-80?

2011-06-17 by Mario

Is anyone here hoping Yamaha will come out with a new version of the CS-80?

Of course, this new version would have to address all the problems associated with the original one. But I do not want to change its weight, though... just what's inside of it, though.

I know that Moog has done well with its Minimoog reissues, including the elongated Voyager XL version.

Yes, but just like the original Minimoog is still the best (I have three of them!) - the original CS-80 will still be unbeaten (I have two of them!)...;c)

Cheers,
TOM

Look up Stephan Schmidt's synthesizer. It's not a CS-80, but for a polyphonic analog keyboard, it looks and sounds sexy. Too bad it's a one-off.
It's nice to dream, but I don't think Yamaha will reissue a CS-80. I'd love it if they did.
