OT - Moog museum exhibit / reception / concerts - San Diego area Aug 28/29

2009-08-03 by David Rogoff

Hi all.

Not Yamaha, but Moog. The Museum of Making Music is starting an exhibit about the Moog synthesizer. They're kicking it off on the weekend of August 28/29 with a reception and various talks and demos/concerts.

On Saturday, there's a reception at 6pm, followed by talks and music by Keith Emerson (with his giant modular Moog) and Erik Norlander. This is $50.

On Sunday afternoon, at 1pm, there will be more talks and music, including by Larry Fast (Synergy). This is only $10.

call (760) 438-5996 X177 for reservations (I've got mine!!!)

If anyone wants to meet up down there (or maybe drive together from L.A. / O.C., let me know.

FYI, it appears to be right next to LegoLand. I've always been a big Lego fan, but haven't been interested in LegoLand since it just seemed to be rides aimed at kids. However, I could see making a visit to their gift shop...

Hi David,

If you see Emo, give him my best won't you...?

BTW have you seen our mentions on the "What's New" section of his website - it's the last two entries about me finding him a Hammond L100 to 'trash'

Cheerz,
TOM
