questions on chorus/tremolo and filters

Hi all
Can anyone tell me how exactly the Trem/Chor
circuit works? I think the original works in a very different way
from the actual fx circuit implemented into the CS-80V, the original has far
more bite, you can even listen to the modulating wave ( UK's Alaska on all...).
Also, could the Tremolo work alone from Chorus or served the fake leslie purpose
only ?
A simple curiosity...could ever happen that for a
strange interaction between analog circuits by sliding with the ribbon you could
get some barely audible changes in brilliance?
