CS-60 Boards and Yamaha Manuals, Schematics and Service Manuals (Mint) for sale.

2009-05-20 by mergmapro

Hi people,
I have some CS-60 Boards for sale/swap etc. As I'm not a big fan of eBay, I don't want to bother putting them up there, (last resort if I get no offers). I have had these for about 20 years sitting in a metal filing cabinet in anti-static packaging in a box with a small packet of desiccant in each. They were removed from an externally damaged CS-60, but the actual boards were not damaged and were fully functional before they were removed. Even though the case only was externally damaged, the cost of repairs at the time was phenomenal. The boards were therefore clipped from the looms, with some of the wire left with the colour coding. There are 10 boards in total, with all parts intact (no chips were ever removed), these have not been touched since then, I kept them as I was initially going to make a Modular Synthesizer with them. I also have Mint Service Manuals and Owners Manuals for some Yamaha synths and keyboards, including a photcopied GX1 service Manual (Yamaha did not have an original for these, and told me at the time that there was none, so charged me an arm and a leg to copy this!) and original pamphlet from Yamaha.

If anyone is interested email me with offers, or post suggestions for what they are worth. I will also post a list of the Yamaha Service Manuals I have (I also have Mint ARP stuff as well for example).

I would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction if they are of no interest.

Where are you located? I might be interested in two boards if the price is right and if shipping/payment is relatively hassle-free. Please get in touch with me privately at stephen at parsick dot com. Thanks a lot!

Stephen

I have uploaded photos of the 10 CS-60 boards, and some images of the
"GX1 - Guide to your Yamaha Electone" and the Photocopied Service manual. If you want a photo let me know.

The 10 Boards:
1 Sub Board.
1 Pre Boards.
8 Voice Boards, M1-M8

I was hoping people would indicate a fair price for these, and the literature below so everyone is happy. As mentioned these boards were in a filing cabinet in anti-static bags with dessicant. The pictures taken of the boards are on an earthed portable anti-static mat. I would prefer people to post what they think these are worth as to give me a fair indication, the last synthesizer I sold went on eBay 2 days later for 4 times what I sold it for, to the person that 'really wanted to use it'. Now although every precaution has been taken with these, and they were workinh 100% before removal. They are used and old (although in good condition), so there are no refunds, in case one has a dry solder joint etc. after 20 years. Most of the literature is in 'mint' condition. People can make me a 'private' offer, but I would prefer to get an indication of their worth. I'm not here to scalp, I only want a 'fair' price.

I also Have the following Yamaha literature
(I Only have 1 copy of each):

Hi people,

I've had some offers, the consensus seems to be:

USD $300 for two boards + user pays Postage & Packaging.

Does any one want to comment on this, is it a 'fair' price?

(I'll put 'fragile' on the boxes when sent, but I am looking for some small tough ones to pack them in individually, inside the box, and inside that, they will be in a proper commercial quality padded anti-static-shielded bag, like they were stored in).
Please note these will have to be sent with tracking, I will not send via normal post.

Also notice in the photos that M2 has no wire loom. I was going to try this out for and external, but I only got as far as removing the wires, otherwise this is identical to th others.

Hi People,

I still have some CS boards left, the ones who bought stuff, have all notified me that they have them.
(maybe they can post a comment, if they are happy with their purchases?)

I would prefer PayPal, but some people do not like to use it, in case you have not used it before, I pay the fees on paypal (~5%) not the buyer.

It is probably your last chance to get these in this condition, only unopened ones would be in a better condition.
If I had a CS80 (or the room for one), I would not sell these.

What's left of the boards:
> 1 Sub Board [Unsold].
> 1 Pre Board [Unsold].
> Some Voice Boards left

> CS15----[Manual SOLD]
> CS40M---[Manual SOLD]
> CS70M---[Manual SOLD]
> SK15----[Manual SOLD]
> SK30----[Manual SOLD]
> SY2-----[Manual SOLD]

If no more interest is shown, I'll put them in storage for another 20 years!

I might be interested in the SUB or PRA board (I assume where is says Pre below, it is a typo for PRA, since there is no PRE board in the CS80, afaik). What would you sell either of these for? Contact me directly at 9z29zkr02@... if you wish.

Yes you are correct, it's a typo, I was thinking pre-amp = PRE, it is actually a 'PRA' board, I checked the CS60 Notes to be sure.

Can people suggest a fair price, are these worth the same as the M boards as there is only one of each and not 8 in a CS60, or more or less?
