I'm not 100% sure what you're referring to. Here's a pic from when I
had
mine all apart: http://therogoffs.com/cs80/overhaul/images/image16.jpg

Can you circle the part you're talking about. Better yet, take a
picture
of your keyboard, showing the problem. A picture is worth a thousand
words!

Oh, shoot!! I hate when that sort of stuff happens. Good luck on the replacement.

Hi Laurie, just a thought - but looking at the backs of the switches
for the Chorus/Tremolo section - they seem to use very similar
components...!

Also it's hard to see in your photo exactly where the strip is broken..

Cheers,
TOM

Seems the smaller CS models finally get into a price range that reflects
their usefulness.
(I wouldn't let my CS-50 go for that price, btw.)

I cant think of any other poly vintage synth that you can get for that
price that is a nice as a CS-50
I have a JP6 and I much prefer to play the CS-50
I suspect the CS-50 has less problems then its bigger brothers
The big negative about the CS-50,60,80 is that may owners are afraid
to use these a lot because of fear of a part blowing on power up
I saw this first hand at a house in Glendowie NZ -the owner had a
CS-60 and a CS-80 and always tends to create a sound and then sample
in into Kontact and then make the track he was dead afraid each time
he switched the CS-80 on

cheers David

BTW -His Kontact library is priceless and there is nothing
commercially on the market that I know of that comes close
He uses an Apogee Rosetta 800 or believe it not a modified Studer ADAT
via lightpipe
In some cases he samples every note nothing else will do

"Cheap" is, of course, always a relative term. And I´m sure it´s not going to stay that way, either.
