Part needed

Part needed

2008-09-09 by zenithaudio2003

Hi everyone !

I need some parts to restore a cs-80 .
The synth was modified in the 80's by synthedata . The problem is that
it as been stored in a barn for 15 years because the synthedata system
was dead. The owner as sadly lost the synthedata controler so the
system was unusable.

Some boards are missing . The tone selector assembly , the four row
user memory assembly (pn1.mbk), card T51 and t53 .

So, does someones as parts to sell ? Or can link me to someone that
as . (Ps: i will not sell any of the parts !)

A sad cs-80 photo .

So this means there was at least one synthedata-system produced ? I
thought it was a hoax.
Can't help you with these parts however.

Wow - the Synthdata (www.keyboardmuseum.com/ar/s/syda/syda.html) really
existed?? Do you at least have some schematics for it so you know how
it was wired into the CS80?

Paging Kent... Good luck, though. I can't imagine the amount of work
it will take to find the parts and rewire it. And then fix all the
problems! With it so torn up, I'd definitely re-cap / replace CMOS
chips while you're doing the work.

As sad as it sounds, I'd probably go this way :( If you do part it
out, I'd be up for some of the boards and a lot of the hardware / case.

Yikes - I'm going to be ill...

Good luck and keep us up to date with your progress.

Re: [yamahacs80] Re: Part needed

2008-09-11 by Tommy Priakos

Hello Nicolas,
What a travesty to see the CS-80 in that state. Sacrébleu!
Seems like you have a Herculean Task before you.I hope you can get her all back together.

I agree with David, it made me ill to see those pictures.

I hope we can hear some sounds from the reconstructed beast once you get it up and running.

Tommy

p.s. : Can someone give us more info about the Synthdata project?
