Well, about the strings: You can make good strings, but you have to use 2 channels with PWM and slight detune. On a OB or Prophet, you will always use 2 vco's for strings, so that's what you have to do on the CS80 too. I apply a little HPF to remove the bottom. Using only one channel results in no convincing strings (too bad for CS50/60 owners), but when layered with low volume under a brass-sound, you get this nice reverb-sounding sounds. Kent, This unison-mod sounds promissing. It will give a great result when the voices are slightly out of tune ;-) You don't make a voice-detune pot do you ? I guess you can't make these mods ready for sale, so that we don't have to ship our CS80 overseas to you ? Have you ever played with the thought to make a digital storage for patches (taking over the control of 1 or 2 rows under the small lid)?
