Yamaha CS80

Hey all,
I was wondering if someone could point me to a better understanding /
diagnose of some ribbon weirdness on my CS60.
It¹s currently unhooked (the two wires are disconnected). If I connect them,
the overall pitch of the synth drops way down over time.
It has shown this behavior always, before and after I had the ribbon itself
repaired with a new spring from Kent Spong.
I once fumbled very carefully with what I thought were the relevant pot
meters on one of the boards ( can¹t remember which one, but it was per the
maintenance manual), and that temporarily fixed the problem. It¹s now back
though. I can of course randomly pry and try again, but I rather first
understand what¹s going on :)

Any insights greatly appreciated!
