don't get forlorn and negative on us now, the trip to Monte Carlo wouldn't compare with the riches that await you once you get the old dinosaur singing again.
Check out OldCrow's site at http://www.cs80.com/cautionary.html There he offers tuning advice. My ears are really picky and it takes me a good four hours to do the tune up. It lasts for quite a good while. I think it's been over 4 years since I tuned it and it's just now reaching that point where the notes are sounding a little rank. I must add here it's been kept in one place for that time period, and moved very little in one mixing room of a studio.
Can you give us any audio samples that illustrate its "holy crap"tivity? I'd rather have that than a bun photo.
Effects can mask some of the out of tune-ness.
