Was wondering - if you drop an IG00152 into the place for an IG00159 - would it (the vca) still work? (ie use the filter envelope chip in place of the vca envelope chip - they are identical apart from pin14 not being used in the 159
I know it wouldn't work the other way around, as the 152 has the extra function - but looking at the schematic got me thinking.
If so, and I am correct, why did they make the 159? They could have just made 152's and used them in both places..!?
