Interesting... I did something similar in my 50, with wires soldered to a standard DIP socket. Now that I've got a 60 with twice as many of these I was looking for something more elegant. These wire wrap sockets look perfect. Cheap too. I'm comforted to see your SAH board has the same discoloration... Maybe errant flux?
