Congratulations on an amazing synth..... I would like to point out though, That 8th voice card aftertouch comment of yours is a little inaccurate... Here's its current status: * the aftertouch sensor on voice card #8 has an issue. Because you'll almost never apply aftertouch to an 8th card (you only have 10 fingers), this is about the most minor issue you could have on a CS-80. You only need 1 other finger down to come across voice #8.....the CS80 rotates through all of its cards.monophonically...but, you will never trigger #8 monophonically...but as soon as any other note is held in place, Voice #8 is the first osc to come into polyphonic play ........... and since polyphonic aftertouch's exact purpose involves more than 1 note playing...your odds are 100 % getting Voice 8 in the first chord after a monophonic run, and better than 1 out of 7 with 2 notes down fromthat point on... Your CS80 looks in beautifull shape....and the inside looks well maintained....even the tolex seem good.... I would love to hear an mp3 of it..... Do you have the "proper" optical pedal controller ?? .... -----Original message----- From: Leo Johns leojohns88@... I'll be selling my newly-repaired CS-80 soon. Not sure of the price, of course. I've stored it for years. Engineer and designer Tim Godfrey and I have resolved every major problem it has this summer. See pics at: http://www.chromaticsound.com/cs80. We took these pics at Tim's shop, so excuse the clutter! Notice that the case is in fair shape. I'm currently getting bids for that. I'd appreciateany leads. Here's its current status: * the aftertouch sensor on voice card #8 has an issue. Another hour of polishing ought to do it. * needs a screw or two on the latches * the wheels are gone * replaced every panel light * includes the original manual, etc. I inherited this unit from the original owner, a friend. Every panel function works perfectly. It needs a good new home. If anyone wants to converse about it, I'd be glad to talk. +++ leo +++ leojohns88@... 913.634 1004 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
