the Heaviest.......they were talking about adding a new heavier weight at namm09 to the request of the people that checked out the booth......the action is responsive to touch.... so if you play lightly, the keys go down easily and send out low velocity, but if you strike it forcefully, it reacts with the weighted action more prominently.....and of course sends out the maximum velocity.....this allows for its speedy key response........the fastest ever.... They were talking about canceling the lightest weight as no one really took to it.....a heavier action was the request by most piano players....my measurements on my 80 also showed me a slightly heavier weight would be needed to send the key down and be be CS80 accurate.... -----Original message----- From: "slipperysoles" slipperysoles@yahoo.com Date: Fri, 30 Jan 2009 02:23:48 -0700 To: yamahacs80@yahoogroups.com Subject: [yamahacs80] Re: A new Poly aftertouch controller??!?!?!! I am really looking forward to checking this out at the Frankfurt show. However the questions remains - and I guess it has been discussed here in the forum a while ago - for those who want to mainly use it with a CS80 (like myself): what is the the proper key weight to choose?
