It's not my kind of music but i like the preset, especially the pulsing tones at the end of the session. ----- Original Message ----- From: technoproducer303 To: yamahacs80@yahoogroups.com Sent: Saturday, January 03, 2009 9:54 PM Subject: [yamahacs80] CS80 motif Hi Everyone, Given the scarcity of CS80 demo recordings on the web I thought you all might enjoy this. This motif (or whatever you want to call it) is recorded in a single take with ONE dual-channel patch, late one night. The raw recording is running through Logic 8's "Spreader" plugin as an insert (to add some width), and there is an aux send to DelayDesigner (also a Logic plugin). The CS80 was recorded via an RME Fireface 800. http://www.technopanda.com/CS80strident.mp3 Kinda long, definitely a few missed notes here and there and no MIDI quantization, but I think this recording properly shows one of the many moods that the CS80 can create, with ample use of initial velocity and aftertouch modulation. Funny thing with this synth is it can sound totally uninspiring and then all of the sudden one falls in to a patch that is out of this world. Anyone else feel this way? Every once in a while I will try to upload some more sounds as I discover them. Cheers and Happy New Year, Kent - not the UK Kent btw :-) [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
