Yamaha CS80

i had a similar experience on my 80. it wouldnt fade, but i g0t random distortion in addition to the synth output. kent suggested a bad cap or cold solder contact on the PRA board. 

i recapped this board(and found a backwards cap!), cleaned the volume pot, jack, hi/low switch, and reflowed solder on all the contact wires. i cant tell yet if its fully solved it, as i just did this last night. when i 1st turned it on, i got a little scratchy-ness.
