Hi Jesus,

I think that the outer knob of the concentric tuning knob is intended to be used as a "performance pitch bend knob ".   The intent is that this outer knob should be set to the center detent, and then the small inner knob is used to fine tune the instrument to the rest of the band, and then the outer knob can be used to bend the pitch like a madman during performance, but don't forget to leave it in the center detent position when you are done flailing.
