Xpander update

2006-12-07 by Stefano

...the update doesn't work! :-(

I've replaced all the six EPROMS and my Xpander stay off. I see all the 3
display off...

My Xpander is still ok with their original EPROMs (1.0 proc and 1.2 voice).
I've tryed to replace only the proc EPROMs and it doesn't work. With 1.4
voice and 1.0 processor it work but with a strange versions:
14.5 for voice and 0.0 for cassette... :-\

The new EPROMs are 40ns....the original are 25ns....
My Xpander is G44129....maybe a first version...

Bye!

Oh dear, 40ns EPROMs are quite probably too slow, if the originals are
25ns! Could you ask the EPROMmer's opinion?

I'll intall my EPROMs in the beginning of next week. ...

Cheers,
Tiitu.

Your EPROMs are AMD 27C67-150DC? Try to search the data sheet with google...
they are a 150ns... :-(
This is a mistake of EPROMmer...I asked MBM2764-20...

Bye!

I think the suffix -20 means 120 ns. I remember 80ns been quite fast in
1988-90, when I was building a signal processor unit.
