removing matte finish from Xpander front panel

Re: removing matte finish from Xpander front panel

I used ethanol and elbow grease. I actually did this accidentally, as I was trying to clean off case foam that had stuck to it. It takes a fair amount of rubbing and don't be cheap with the ethanol. It does not affect the diagrams underneath.

PS: I was surprised to see a unit being sold in this condition (without the matte finish). I figured it would reduce its value or even be a deal breaker, like no one would buy one like this. I guess the fashion has changed?

It's not super clear to me if there is an obvious replacement, but it appears to be similar in spirit to yahoo groups. They have yahoo import and supposedly it's free as long as there is no more than 1GB of uploaded files.

I'd hate to see all of us lose touch due to Yahoo killing all of the Yahoo groups.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to keep this group alive- elsewhere?

Thanks

Tony

"You'll still be able to communicate with your groups via email and search for private groups on the site. In addition, admins will continue to have limited access to group settings and administration tools."

So, communication won't be lost, just all the resources uploaded to the group. I'd be happy to host resources on my site for anyone interested.

The primary benefit of an email-based system (which Yahoo Groups is for me, I've never used the site) is that it's easy to search the archive (as I don't delete old/read messages). Facebook in my experience is terrible for searching for old content (or indeed is just generally terrible). Please let's not go there...

If we can keep going as an email mailing list that's great. It looks like we'd need to move the files we want to keep to e.g. Google Drive or something by December 14th.

Please don´t forget the guys not using a smartphone and not being Facebook members.
I´m one of those and I know many more.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
