I've opened it up and it's not too spooky removing the keys.

Just a small blade reg screwdriver 1/8"

I've taken out all of the black keys , cleaned out old lube on the assby frame, clean the sides and end of the keys and cleaned the surfaces of the adjacent white keys.

Waiting for a replacement Black one from Syntaur

Hello,

Some hours ago I tried to respond to your request by posting a link to the Roland RD-300S svc manual, but somehow my post didn't show up. What am I doing wrong?. Anyway, now I have uploaded the svc manual to the files section. Although the RD-300S and RD-300SX may be a bit different electronically, the key sections are most likely identical. On page 6 in the svc manual it is described in detail how to manufacture special tools for the disassembly of the keys, Hope this can be useful. Good luck.

Bo

Yes, if you have not found them.

Broken hammers, common failure. ROLAND has a package price for all new hammers. Should have been free, as was a major defect.

On the RD-300S there are no hammers, although I do not know the sx.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
