Fatar aftertouch Ribbons

Fatar aftertouch Ribbons

2010-08-24 by jfmcgrathmusicnet

I have a Peavey DPM C8 keyboard and need to put in new after touch
ribbon sensors. This is a Fatar keybed and I know that it's hard to get Fatar parts. Does anyone know a source for these pressure sensors? Is it a generic part that can be bought somewhere?

Thanks, Francis

I've had good luck calling Peavey for parts. Their prices are really fair too. I'm not sure if they still stock these strips. The only generic source I've seen for pressure sensing strips is www.interlinkelectronics.com The problem is they only make them in 24" lengths. My DPM-488 has 2 strips. One for the black keys and one for the white keys and they are way longer than 24"

Thanks for you advice.

Try to contact Fatar directly.

http://www.fatar.com/Pages/contatti.asp

I had good experience with italian companies in similar situations.

Good luck.
