troubleshooting korg m1

2002-03-26 by Owen Kalau

Hi, I'm new to this group, and I recently picked up a Korg M1 for cheap.

Replaced the internal battery, reloaded all the patches, everything is
just fine. Except...the sound only comes through on the left channel.

I tested this both with the L&R out, as well as with the headphone jack.
Same thing. There might be a little bit of signal coming through, but it
is hard to tell.

What should be the first thing to check? Is anyone familiar with this
particular problem?

Thanks.

Owen

Owen,

I just joined the group, and was wondering if you ever found the
answer to your Korg M1 question. I have similar intermittent
problems with both L and R audio outputs on my M1, but my headphone
jack is OK. I figured I'd have to replace the entire jack board, as
it doesn't seem like just solder problems at the jacks. It's acting
like the board is cracked or something.

Anyway, if you've fixed your problem, please let us know what you did.

Thanks,

Greg
