[vintagesynthrepair] SH-101 case screws

[vintagesynthrepair] SH-101 case screws

2009-06-01 by Scott S.

What are the proper screws for SH-101 case? Are they all the same
length? I acquired an otherwise good condition SH-101 that the
previous owner took all the screws out and lost them. I assume they
are metric. I hate to just start trying some, I don't want to crack
the plastic pillars.

thx,
Scott S.

The pillars do crack very easily.
Just get a bunch of different (wood) screws and gently ,using just your fingers, find the ones that fit nicely..
There are 2 (From memory) that go into the metal part of the chassis.. these are prob simple M3 screws, but the rest I'm not sure as they are for plastic.
Good luck.
Mike

The service manual lists the screws as 3x10mm.

The two more to the middle of the case seem indeed to be "regular" metric
screws, the other 10 are "plastic screws".
