I was given a Poly 61 but I was told it needs an internal battery of
sorts? Does that make sense to anyone? The person I got it from told
me not to fix it myself. I am guessing it is not an easy task. If
anyone could help me that would be great.
its
very easy just lift the cover and you will see the battery on the left hand side
circuit board . replacements are easily available just make sure the polaritys
is right but if you get an identical battery you can't get it
wrong

Be careful with the poly61, It uses a nicad battery that usually leaks and
damages the pcboard. There is a korg ECO that tells how to modify the circuit
to accept a lithium battery which are much safer to pc boards. jeff
