Hi all,
I think my floppy drive is not working properly or at all except that the little green light stays on. I hear nothing happening in there and I cannot bring styles into the keyboard.
Does anyone know what kind of floppy I could replace it with and where I could get one?
Thank you
Adele

Thanks Brian.......
No, I didn't try Roland...... Didn't see any obvious places to order parts but I can call. Actually thought that maybe they didn't sell parts to the general public.
Outside of the settings perhaps, do you know if the drives are the same as what would be in a pc....... I had it apart a couple months back (I was the one fixing some keys on the Roland) and the floppy looks pretty much the same from the outside anyway...... Didn't real stare at it much.........
Thanks again,
Adele

Have you tried Roland direct? Here in the UK they are excellent. ; Earlier this week I ordered a replacement key and rubber contact strips from them and they were very cheap, one key and 2 strips including VAT and postage came out at 6.50GBP. The key itself was only 1.50GBP which is what, around 2.5 – 3 dollars. Much cheaper than those offered on this reflector a few days back!!

Hi Adele I can’t be certain but I think the floppy is peculiar to keyboards/synthesizers. I replaced one in a Technics some time ago and it was not the same

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
