SHE LIVES! the problem was in the actual PSU. i dropped in the new one, soldered up, and left it on for an hour, first w/ no load, then w/ synth connected. stayed rock solid, +/-15. and all sliders are functioning, so she's almost up to top speed. now i just need a new 6-pin cable. kinda strange, the cable's pins each read .1-.2 ohms impedance across, but wont transmit voltage. anyway, once that is sussed, calibrate and play! thanks for all your help guys(may still try to get the old psu running down the line...)-rj
