Pot grease TR-909

Pot grease TR-909

2008-03-05 by eggwheatis

Ok so my TR909 had scratchy pots so I fixed them up with a spray
switch cleaner..trouble is they feel horrible now..because the switch
cleaner dissolved all the lubricant out of them..what lubricant/grease
can I buy that is suitable for this job? I was going to get a little
syringe and inject them with grease.

Thanks, Phil.

You can try Radio Shack's 64-4315 Control/Contact Cleaner & Lubricant
for $10.00 a spray can. I use this to fix scratchy pots all the time.
It worked very well on a Korg Em-1 I repaired.

Hi Fran, thanks but as far as I know that is pretty
much the same as servisol swtich cleaner and lubricant
that I have just used..the pots on 909 have a stiff
smooth feel to them because they have some kind of
grease in them..

They are cleaned and now working great electrically
but now they need the grease replaced to get the feel
back. I just dont know what type you can use in pots.

Thanks, Phil.
