Korg EC5 to Roland FC-100 compatibility

I just picked up a Roland FC-100 foot controller pedal and am curious if it could be used with Korg products (eg.Prophecy) in place of the Korg EC5 foot controller. Has anyone tried this? Thanks, Scott
