MKS-80 Battery replacement

I think I should replace the battery on my Roland MKS-80, as I have read they can leak and damage the circuits.(Although everything works well to date). Before I open it up, could someone please advise if battery replacement is an easy job that could be accomplished by an amateur, or should I take it to the shop?
