Vintage Synth Repair

Hi All

I know that this is not an Atari related group, but this group covers
a lot of different backgrounds and experiences and so I hoping someone
on the list might have some information.

Since an ADAP SoundRack has come up for sale on the Atari-MIDI group,
I'm wondering if anyone has any data on the various units, versions,
and/or options that were sold, and what software is needed to use
them?  So far I have had little success get anything useful from
Google.  Any suggestions as to where I might look or who I might ask?

I was a beta tester for Hybrid Arts [later Bear Creek Software]in the
80's; the ADAP rack was nice but limiting.  I was told that the
software team was partly absorbed by Digidesign [the ProTools guys],
Syntrillium [Cool Edit Pro], and SoundForge; so you might be better
off with a more modern product---not unless you're running a museum. 
Synthzone.com might have more specific info for you.
