is it possible to load the factory default sounds from floppy if not why?and if yes what format and what files to load please?

You can only load from a floppy if you have a DX7IIFD, if you have an
origil DX7 without the floppy drive, then you will need to do a midi
dump from your computer useing any music program that supports midi
system exclusive dumps (Cakewalk, Cubase, etc.)even if you have a
floppy in your DX7, it is still faster to do the midi dump, if you
need the sysx file for the factory patches, let me know and I'll email
it to you.

Thanks Dave for the promptness of your expert reply , yes please I would 
like you to mail me the files to dump from floppy as I have the Fd ll model 
of the DX7 .
 And a Merry new year to all.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
