Attachments and unsigned messages

2005-03-06 by Brian Davies

Hi Guys and gals.

I don't know about the rest of you but I don't like attachments from unknown
sources! This is especially true if they come with unsigned messages, I
tend to immediately delete them unread. It is too easy to become infected
with a virus and I'm taking no chances.

To avoid this problem may I make a suggestion that in the first instance you
send a simple message saying what your problem is and then state that you
have put a picture in the files area of Yahoo. We can then go to the
picture and have a look knowing that it is safe to do so.

Most importantly of all please ALWAYS sign every message.

I like to help anyone that is in trouble, but I'm not taking any unnecessary
risks.

Regards

Brian

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
