SH-101 Help Please !

2004-07-07 by oxygeno1313

Hi,

I have a Roland SH-101, but the SQUARE wave output sounds very tiny
compared with the SAW and SUB OSC output, i had the same problem with
a SCI Pro-One long time ago, but that was only that was un-
calibrated. I tought could be the same problem, but everything it's
ok, the scale and tune are fine. I checkd the pin ouputs of the
CEM3340 and seems to be fine, also i tested with other 3340's but
nothing, anyone have a clue ?

Thanks,

Akira

Do you have a schematic to look at? I'm not familiar with the SH-
101's circuit, but my guess is that if everything else between the
wave generator and the next stage check out, it could be something
very simple like a short in the switch that selects the waveform.
Have you tried cleaning the switch or swapping it out?
