Yamaha CS-50 Repair

2004-06-29 by Neil Alexander

Howdy folks.
Anyone know a trustworthy repair place in the northeast for my Trusty ol' CS-50? I've
done quuite a bit of simple repair work, i.e. cold solder joints, replacing chips, pots, jacks,
some simple analog tuning/calibration etc. Unfortunately I don't have the expertise (or the
time to learn it) for this instrument. If anyone knows a place or person, please share! I am
a performer and programmer in upstate NY (poughkeepsie area).
Thanks a heap in advance....

Multimoog range & scale...how?

2004-06-29 by William J. Spiropoulos

<fontfamily><param>Monaco</param>all

It's been years since I've done this operation and I've forgotten how,
but my Multi needs it right about now. Instructions, anyone?

I have a few other questions, but for now this will do. Thanks in
advance.

Hi Keith -
The problem I'm having is: 2 of the 4 oscillators don't sound....right. They sound like
they're out of phase; i.e. you can still hear them, they're just very "thin" and quiet. I let the
machine warm up for several hours recently and one of the "lost" oscillators came back
briefly. Other than that, it's just tuning and calibration; everything else works.

Can you do it? I will drive the unit to you. Sure as hell beats shipping it anywhere.

Thanks -

Bring it up. Call me first to make sure I'm in the shop and get directions.
