ARP Odyssey

ARP Odyssey

2003-11-18 by cyril moonen

Hi, I have an ARP Odyssey which I recently aquired in pretty good cosmetic
condition but no sound. The previous owner assured me it was working 15
years ago when he stored it under a bed but now all I get is a very low
volume out of it. The volume is so low it is almost inaudible and comes and
goes. Any ideas on what may be the problem? Any suggestions greatly
appreciated.
Regards, Cy.

step 1 is the powersupply....replace the main filter caps, and make
sure you are getting +/-15v.

then, download the service manual (do a google search, or join the
odyssey list on yahoogroups), and remove the flexible board
(carefully), then use a scope to see what's working and what isn't.

Thank you for the reply, the power supply checks out +- 15v so that is not
the problem. I will try to find the service manual ahd go from there.
