Vintage Synth Repair

I just got a Roland SH-1000 and the output from the VCO is very weak -
if the filter is engaged with any kind of resonance, the filter sounds
easily drown out the main "tone".  Still, if I turn down the filter and
listen, I can faintly hear the tones.  Does anybody have any suggestions
for what might be causing this?  Just a loose connection from the VCO,
perchance?

Let me know if you figure it out. I finally got sounds out of the 
filter resonance, but I can't get anything from the vco.

Actually, I eventually discovered there was just a weak connection to one of the
circuit boards!

I had similar luck with the filter. Turns out someone put in the 
wrong fuse. Which board was loose?
