arp odyssey

Hello. I just recieved an Arp odyssey, black with gold
lettering, bought it through ebay, but of course turned up d.o.a!
I have a couple of questions, wich i hope someone will be able to
answer. First thing i did was cut off the american fuse and
replaced it with a european one, and went out and bought a
transformer. Fired up the unit, but nothing happened. Mine has
no light in the power switch,so it´s a bit difficult to find out if its
actually on or not, but i plugged headphones in the Low output
on the back, checked the front panel to see if sync and keyboard
were on,as well as output volume ,but i didnt get anything.
What i´ve done so far: took off the slider caps as they were
dirty, and cleaned them, unscrewed the unit, took some hay out of
it, but actually i was surprised to see that apart from the hay the
unit looks quite well (hhmm). All the keys are still in position and
looking good, i´m taking out some of the dust inside and
cleaning it overall. As nothing happened at all when i plugged it
in,i assume the problem is something to do with the power
supply. Checked the fuse and found out it´s actually soldered on,
but it doesnt appear as its blown. does anyone have any idea
wich things commonly could go wrong ? Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
