No help is necessary. Your DX 7 is quite OK. In function mode numbers are not changed, there’s always a number of patch selected before entering function mode. In this mode you don’t select numbers, but functions. Not all buttons at right side have assigned some function in this mode. Important is info on LCD display. See page 16 in US Owner’s manual. Patches and other things all change their numbers and as has been said, the internal diagnostic passed the SW test, all the way to 32.
