All the joints looked good to me, but I de- and re-soldered some of them all the same. Checked the caps, checked the diodes - all fine. I swapped IC5 and IC9 around. They are both CMOS 4081 quad 2-input AND gates. One way round I get the fault previously described, the other way round I get note recognition no problem, but the notes never turn off. So, I'd say that points to one of the 4081s. I've ordered a couple but it will be next week sometime when they arrive. Thinking about it, I never was convinced about "leap" arpeggiate with 3 keys held down, so I've ordered replacements for some of the other ICs too. I'll keep you all updated. Cheers, Matt.
