RE: [vintagesynthrepair] ARP Odyssey II no sound

It causes much confusion. Its for setting the level where the envelopes kick in and go up from. Iff you put it up all the way you will hear hiss when nothing is happening so I put it a ¼ or ½ up and then you will see more of the role of the envelopes coming into play at the vca. Use noise and an open filter no resonance then explore the relationship between that slider and the adsr/ar slider below when you hit a key. It drove me batty on my first arp and I thought it was an issue. I\u2019m on 2800 #3 and comfortable with it now but it just seemed so \u201cun-minimoog vca at first. Lorne in Canada

Does the "VCA Gain" control do anything?

It should result in a kind of drone regardless if a key is pressed or not.
